Woolwich & District Family History Society

Sadly our Journal Editor has not been well  and has not been able to produce the December journal.  A newsletter has been written and will be emailed to those members for whom we have an email address.  The rest will receive a copy in the post.

Society covers not just Woolwich but also Greenwich, Charlton, Plumstead,  Eltham, Welling, Bexleyheath and Crayford.

Many people have ancestors who spent a few years or a few generation in this area. Many worked at the Royal Arsenal, the Royal Dockyard or served in the Artillery.

We meet at Shrewsbury House, Bushmoor Cres, Shooter’s Hill, SE18 on the second Wednesday morning of each month at 11am.  We have speakers sometimes but mostly have more informal meetings at which members can do research and help one another.
